Manufacturing of wooden mould for steam turbine diaphragm
for the retrofitting of steam turbines in thermal power plants
in Uzbekistan
The steam turbine diaphragm is a circular plate-shaped component installed in the steam turbine cylinder and dividing the cylinder into several chambers with different pressures. Its main function is to install nozzles or stationary vanes and prevent interstage steam leakage. When the steam working medium flows through the nozzle installed on the baffle, the potential energy is converted into kinetic energy, the pressure is reduced, the speed is increased, and then enters the moving blades to do work. The baffle is installed in the groove of the inner wall of the cylinder, and is generally divided into upper and lower halves, straddling the rotating shaft, and the rotating shaft passes through its center.
