The four processes of heating, adiabatic expansion and isobaric heat release are completed respectively in the compressor chamber, combustion chamber, gas turbine and regenerator, or in the atmosphere. The compressor of a large gas turbine is multistage axial flow, while the compressor of small to medium size is centrifugal. Gas turbines are usually axial, while centripetal are used in small installations. The gas turbine drives the compressor and generator. The unit capacity of the gas turbine plant is about 10-20 kW, and the largest of them reached 140 MW. Thermal efficiency ranges from 30% to 34%, up to 38%. Gas turbine designs are of two types: heavy and light, mainly modified by aircraft engines. With its small size, light weight, quick start-up, quick installation and little or no water, it can use a variety of liquid and gas fuels and is mainly used to reduce peak loads in power generation. In addition, gas turbines are also widely used in fields such as oil and gas exploration and transportation, transportation, metallurgy, chemical industry, and ships.
