Advantages

Diaphragm is used to fix the static blades and divide the cylinder into several steam chambers. In order to facilitate disassembly, diaphragm is usually added into horizontal bisection form. Diaphragm is usually used in impulse steam turbine, and its types are generally divided into welded diaphragm and cast diaphragm.

Scope of Application

Diaphragms for 7MW-1000MW steam turbines relate to cascade and direct welding.
