The Indonesian Shangxi Sokai Pumped Storage Power Station project is led by China Energy Construction Gezhouba Group, and a joint venture is formed with South Korea's DL E&C and Indonesia's local state-owned enterprise WIKA. Gezhouba Three Gorges Construction Company has established a project department to be responsible for the project construction. Fully responsible for cost, quality, safety, environmental protection, etc.
The owner's representative, Ms. RATNASARI SJAMSUDDIN, congratulated Energy China Gezhouba Group on the construction of the first pumped-storage power station project in Indonesia, and hoped that the two parties would cooperate sincerely in the implementation stage and jointly promote the completion of the project on schedule.

The Indonesian Upper Sisokay Pumped Storage Power Station project is located in the upper reaches of the Sisokan River in Java Island, Indonesia, 190 kilometers away from the capital Jakarta and about 65 kilometers away from Bandung. The power station is equipped with four 260-megawatt generator sets with a total installed capacity of 1,040 megawatts.

As a landmark project for the Indonesian government to promote the goal of "23% renewable energy in 2025" and to realize the country's energy transformation, after the completion of the Indonesian Upper Sisokai Pumped Storage Power Station, it will supply 147.9 billion watt-hours of electricity to the Java-Bali power grid every year. Green power greatly enhances the peak regulation capability and stability of the regional power grid.
