Britain's National Grid has warned that if energy supply and demand continue to be out of balance, there may be intermittent power outages for British households and businesses. For many households, power outages can have serious consequences. Data shows that in the second quarter of this year, more than 2 million households in the UK were in arrears with their electricity bills, an increase of about 25% from the first quarter and a record breaking record.
